Dairy-Free Iced Matcha Latte

Prep time: 1 minute

Time to make: 1 minute

Level of Difficulty: Super easy!

  • 2 tsp culinary matcha powder
  • Oat or almond milk
  • Optional: sweetener

This is a light, creamy, and super refreshing iced matcha latte that you can make at home. No need to spend $5.00 on a Starbucks matcha latte. This homemade version tastes just as good and for just a fraction of the price. Ever since I turned to drink matcha a few years ago, I have not turned back since

The trick to making a delicious matcha latte is to invest in a good quality matcha powder. Matcha powder is one of those things that you should spend a few more dollars on to truly savor the taste of your morning caffeine boost. Generally, the darker green the matcha the better quality. You should try to stay away from matcha that is brown or olive in color.

  1. Add your choice of dairy-free milk, matcha powder, and a sweetener to your blender. Blend for 30 seconds until the matcha is smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour into a cup of ice. Enjoy!!

Matcha Green Tea Lemonade

My version is made with matcha instead of black tea. The sweetness from the lemonade is a perfect foil to the slightly bitter taste from the matcha.

Let this be your new summer drink! (Bonus, it’s way less expensive and SO much better than the one at Starbucks.)
